The institute was established in the year 1965 as a Rural Industrial Training Institute with five trades namely Fitter, Electrician, Carpenter, Welder and Mason in a rented building. The institute was converted in to Industrial Training Institute in the Year 1984. The trade of Mechanic Motor Vehicle was introduced in the Year, 1997. The Institute Management Committee was constituted in the year, 2002 and the IMC was converted in to the Society in 2008. Presently the institute is having its own campus and there are 10 trades (27 Units) running in the institution. The institute is covered under the Public Private Partnership mode “Up gradation of 1396 Govt. Industrial training Institutes.
Location
The institute is located in the heart of industrial belt of Baddi, Barotiwala and Nalagarh. The nearest Railway station is Kalka which is approximately 40 KM and nearest Airport is Chandigarh which approximately 40 KM.
The campus is spread over area of 5380 sq. Meters. We have multi-storey building which has well equipped workshops and theory rooms.
